Given the current craze for face masks, we all have a few stories up our sleeves – like how we scared our boyfriends half to death when they woke to find us resembling Hannibal Lecter (thanks, Charlotte Tilbury) or smothered in black paste (hello, detoxifying charcoal).
But we persist, because no matter how horrifying a face mask may look when it’s on, take it off and you’re left with glowing, hydrated, purified skin.
Mandy Moore had her own face mask fail just last night, when she found herself locked out of her hotel room wearing, it has to be said, one of the less photogenic facial treatments we’ve ever seen.
Moore posted the above on her Instagram Stories, along with the caption, “I just locked myself out of my hotel room in my socks and this face mask… so yah, how’s your night going?” And just like that, she skyrocketed to number one on our list of stars we’d most like to hang out with (face masks optional).
