Khloe Kardashian has joined the string of celebs trading in their honeyed blonde locks for an edgier, white-hot shade: icy platinum blonde.
The 32-year-old Kardashian debuted her fresh dye job with a mirror selfie on Instagram overnight. Unlike the icy blondes before her (see below), Khloe’s is a more user-friendly look, with darker roots fading from pale gold to platinum.
With blunt cut ends and S-bend waves, her new cut is equally fresh – and all the better for flaunting a backless dress.
Kardashian joins a growing number of A-listers trying the white blonde shade, including Taylor Swift, who made the switch just in time for the 2016 Met Gala.
Jennifer Lawrence and Poppy Delevingne have also made the switch, and of course there’s the original icy it girl, Gwen Stefani.
Thinking of trying the colour? Be prepared to put in the hard yards: you’ll need to commit to regular salon appointments (this is not a DIY home hair colour situation) and, as bleach can leave strands dry, brittle and prone to breakage, a dedicated at-home strengthening and hydrating routine is essential.
