Evan Rachel Wood is nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama for her role in Westwood and the actress used her big moment to send an important message.
The actress, who has been nominated twice before, stepped out on to the red carpet wearing a chic custom black tuxedo by Altuzrra and she’s never looked better.

“This is my third nomination, I’ve been to the Globes six times, and I’ve worn a dress every time,” she explained on the red carpet.
“And I love dresses, I’m not trying to protest dresses. But I wanted to make sure that young girls and women knew that they aren’t a requirement.”
“That you don’t have to wear one if you don’t want to, and to just be yourself because your worth is more than that,” she contined. “So this year I said I’m going as an homage to Marlene Dietrich and Victor Victoria, and David Bowie because it’s his birthday.”
