One skirt, *three* ways

Influencer Brooke Testoni explains how to make your midi work harder

The Midi skirt. It’s a piece of clothing I am sure you all have in your wardrobe (and if you don’t, you should!)

It may be the one you wear to work or the one you wore to an engagement party three years ago and haven’t worn since. This is why, my friends, I am writing this post. A skirt like this, can actually be worn on any occasion. And yes, that includes walking down the road for that morning latte.

Yes, I like mustard, hence the reason why this skirt has been a weekly wear and I shot it for this piece. But, keep in mind you can wear any midi skirt you own these three ways. Black, navy, grey, khaki, floral, denim – whatever colour it is, it will work.

For work

First things first, wear your midi skirt to work with a business shirt and a statement heel. Make your work outfit stand out with exaggerated cuffs, a statement heel, or buy the skirt in a bold colour like so.

Alternatively, wear your investment skirt out casually. You have nice pieces in your wardrobe, so why not wear them as much as possible? Time to get your $$ worth. I am an avid believer in wearing my ‘special’ pieces as much as I can. If that means wearing them with a silk cami and slides, down to the local cafe to eat that gluten free, sugar free, dairy free (what is in it then?) raw cake you have been craving, then do so.

Last but not least, if you like to bring out the inner tom boy, like I do, well this one is for you. Wear your midi skirt with sneakers, vintage tee, belted at the waist.
