The Best Moment From The Love Actually Sequel

Twitter loses it over this one scene

(Warning: Spoilers ahead!)

There were so many moments to love from the Love Actually sequel, Red nose Day Actually, that aired over the weekend in conjunction with Red Nose Day in the UK.

There was Mark (Andrew Lincoln) back on Julia’s (Keira Knightley) doorstep with his iconic cue cards – and a little cameo from none other than Kate Moss.

There was Jamie (Colin Firth) and Aurelia (Lucia Moniz) still in love – and suffering hilarious language barriers despite having three kids – and another on the way!

And there was Daniel (Liam Neeson) finding out Sam (Thomas Sangster) was still *very* much in love with Joanna (Olivia Olson).

And while fans were disappointed that there was no mention of the late Alan Rickman’s character, Harry, there was a subtle nod to him thanks to Rowan Atkinson’s return as Rufus, the hilariously meticulous department store cashier.

But it was Hugh Grant’s return as Prime Minister David that truly got everyone talking and feeling all the feels.

Yes he resurrected his iconic dancing through Downing Street – this time to Drake’s Hotline Bling – but it was his speech in front of the British press that was particularly poignant in light of recent events.

When asked if he was optimistic about returning to the role of Prime Minister 14 years later, he replies:

Times have obviously got harder. People are nervous and fearful. And it’s not just in politics that things have got touch. Usain Bolt has run his last Olympics.. The Harry Potter Films have finished. Piers Morgan is still alive. But let’s look at the other side of the clock. Metallica’s new album is an absolute cracker. On the deeper side of things, I’m optimistic. Wherever you see tragedy, you see bravery too, where you see ordinary people in need, you see extraordinary ordinary people come to their aid. Today is Red Nose Day and people are giving their hard earned cash to people who they’ll never meet but whose pain and fear they feel and want to fight.”So it’s not just romantic love that is all around most people still every day every where have enough love in their heart to help human beings in trouble. Good’s going to win. I’m actually sure of it.

Social media was quick to react to the speech.
