Women Who Have More Sex Have Better Memory, Study Finds

That's certainly one way to stave off memory loss

How your brain functions is integrally linked to how much sex you have, a Canadian study has found.

The research document has revealed that women who have have sex frequently have better memories: helping them to recall words, phrases and other abstract memories, Broadly reports.

The study discovered a link between sex and the hippocampus, the part of your brain closely aligned to emotions, memory and the nervous system.

But just how that link is achieved wasn’t clear from the study. The hypothesis from the researchers at McGill University in Canada was that because sex is – in its own particular way – a kind of exercise, it staves off conditions that can cause memory loss, such as depression, stress and anxiety.

More research is needed. Which means more sex. Get to it, Canadian researchers!
