12-Year-old Accused Of Rape Allowed To Go On Family Holiday

The boy has pleaded not guilty to the charges

A 12-year-old boy who is accused of sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl has made his first appearance in a NSW Children’s Court.

The Year 6 boy, accompanied by his parents and aunt and lawyer James Viney, pleaded not guilty to four counts of indecent assault, three while in company, and two counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The boy’s lawyer requested that his client’s bail conditions be revised so that he could attend a family holiday interstate.

The magistrate agreed to the revisions and has also excused him from his next court appearance which is scheduled for November 24.

The alleged incidents took place at a Northern Beaches school in NSW between June 24 and July 1. The school has not been named.
