"Today I shared one of my deepest secrets with the world."

Lady Gaga has been open in the past about being a survivor of sexual assault, and now she has opened up about how it still affects her every day.

During an interview with the Today show, Gaga visited the Ali Forney Center, a shelter serving homeless LGBTQ youth where she surprised them with a performance, donated clothing and supplies and spoke with the group about she overcame adversity.

“I suffer from PTSD,” she revealed. “I’ve never told anyone that before, so here we are. But the kindness that’s been shown to me by doctors as well as my family and my friends, it’s really saved my life.”
