Man Charged With Murder After Woman Found Dead IN Potts Point

Police discovered the woman's body in the couple's Sydney apartment

Police have charged a man with the murder of his wife after her body was found inside their Potts Point apartment in Sydney yesterday.

The 35-year-old was found after her father raised the alarm with police over concerns for her welfare after having received a call form his son-in-law.

The woman suffered a number of stab wounds, and the police had uncovered what is believed to have been the weapon used, reports The Sydney Morning Herald

The couple believed to be from Iran, have been living in Sydney for four years.

According to the Daily Telegraph, police will allege that in the weeks leading up to her death, she was stalked and intimidated by her husband.

“We are not looking at any other suspects in this matter,” Superintendent Fitzgerald told Fairfax.

“It is alleged that the son-in-law told [the father] certain things which brought the concern from the father to speak with police today.”

The 41-year-old has been refused bail and is expected to front court today.
