Mother-of-four Annabelle Deall has been killed after being hit by a car in Terrigal.

7 News reports she was on her way to a ‘girls night out’ with two friends, and was crossing the road when a car came around the bend and struck the women.

Ms Deall died from the impact, and her friend Megan Darling was also hit. Ms Darling is 20 weeks pregnant. The third friend, Melissa Wilkinson, was unharmed.

The 22-year-old driver stopped the car further down the street and ran back to help. He was reportedly screaming “I’ve just killed someone”.

Residents nearby and workers at the restaurant across the road rushed over to help.

That particular bend in the road has been reportedly very dangerous in the past, and Federal member for Robertson Lucy Wicks told 7 News that fixing the road is a ‘top priority’.

The driver is being charged with dangerous driving causing death, and will face court later this month.
