CEO of Sweaty Betty PR Roxy Jacenko took to Instagram following the announcement that her husband Oliver Curtis will face a minimum of one year in jail for insider trading.
She had previously pleaded to the judge to reduce or dismiss his jail sentence because he was the ‘primary carer’ of their two children, Pixie and Hunter.
She posted this photo of her and her kids on Instagram, captioned: “The bravest, most caring two people I know. @huntercurtis14 @pixiecurtis – proud of what wonderful and kind little people you are <3"
Oliver Curtis was sentenced to two years in jail, with a minimum term of one year at the Supreme Court on Friday last week.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Curtis was convicted for using insider trading with his former best friend, John Hartman, to build his ‘lifestyle of consipicuous extravagance’. He was taken to court when Hartman testified against him for the crimes he’d committed in his early 20s.
As Curtis was about to be taken away, he took Jacenko into a hug, and handed her his wedding ring, watch and the contents of his wallet. He gave her a final kiss before being taken away.
