The trailer for Sarah Jessica Parker’s new HBO series, Divorce has just landed.
The clip starts with SJP’s character Frances, asking her husband, played by Thomas Haden Church, for a divorce.
The trailer shows the two navigating their next steps, seeing a therapist and co-existing in their house as they figure out their next steps, giving each other the finger and throwing things at each other included.
“When did it start to go off the tracks, in your mind?’ asks Church’s character, to which SJP replies: “Perhaps when you grew the moustache.”
While it seems a little darker – and a little less fashion focused – than Sex and the City, it’s good to see SJP back on ours screens.
The actress shared the new trailer on her Instagram, writing: “A long time coming. And a great thrill that my friends @hbo allowed me to share with you the official FIRST look and just a wee appetizer of #DivorceonHBO.”
The show is set to premiere later this year.
