Sydney Teacher Pleads Guilty To Sex With Student

Her text messages to him are pretty alarming.

A teacher at Sydney’s elite private school, Sydney Grammar, has pleaded guilty to having sex with one of her 17-year-old students.

It’s been revealed that the 33-year-old was warned several times – the first back in 2013 – of her inappropriate behaviour towards the male teenagers she taught.

“You must not in any communication with boys of the school, written or spoken, or electronic, make any sexual references or use terms with obviously sexual connotations,” a letter sent to her stated.

On most occasions, the pair had sex at the school, planning secret meetings in classrooms and storage areas, reports the Daily Telegraph.

It’s reported the student was scared to end the sexual relationship because he “was worried she would self-harm.”

“He repeatedly said to her, ‘I can’t’ … The offender responded to the complainant in a dismissive way saying, ‘what do you mean you can’t?'” the facts state.

She wrote in his school report he was a “delight to teach” and said “If all boys had his sense of humour and level of engagement with the world around them, then teachers would skip to school.”

She also “encouraged him to write down his sexual fantasies.”

Texts reveal the teacher describing herself as a “f***ing monster” to the student and asking “Am I going to gaol?” when she found out one of his friends knew about the relationship.

The boy finally ended the relationship in April of 2016 but the teacher continued to contact him until September.

He had already attempted suicide in the school toilets at the end of 2015.

The woman who can’t be identified, pleaded guilty this week to six counts of sexual intercourse with a person under care.

The matter will return to court on May 26.
