Three Teens Charged Over Gang Rape In Western Sydney

Three teenage boys have been charged with the rape of a 15-year-old girl

Three teenage boys have been charged over an alleged gang rape that took place at a party in Western Sydney on May 21.

The girl reportedly knew one of the boys, also aged 15, and was set upon by him and two friends at a home in Mt Druitt after having her drink spiked.

The 15-year-old boy was arrested the following day and charged with four counts of aggravated sexual intercourse with a person aged 14-16, reports the Seven News.  

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Tuesday charged with “detain for advantage, aggravated sexual assault in company and aggravated indecent assault in company”, reports the Daily Telegraph

The following day, a third boy, also aged 17, was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault in company and breaching bail (for a separate offence).

According to court documents, a youth care worker believes one of the 17-year-old boys, who was born in Liberia and has no parents in Australia, “was a child soldier of war”, reports The Daily Telegraph.

All three boys have been refused bail.

The 15-year-old is due to appear in court today to face the charges, the second boy will appear in August. No date has yet been set for the third boy.
