Tonga doesn’t exactly dominate the Olympics. In fact, on the eight occasions that the small Pacific Island nation has competed, it has won exactly one medal (a silver).

But on Saturday, Tonga found itself in the Olympic spotlight thanks to flagbearer Pita Nikolas Taufatofua. Specifically, thanks to the oiled-up, glistening torso of Taufatofua (who lives in Queensland by the way).

The internet, predictably had a field day.

Here are three other moments you may have missed from the first few days of the Olympics.

1. Giselle Bunchden opening the Games wearing  Alexandre Herchcovitch.

“This is for sure the longest runway I have ever walked in my life and by far with the most amount of people watching, so it is a little nerve-racking I must say,” she later said.

2. French gymnast Samir Ait Said gruesomely broken his leg while vaulting. And then, to make matters, worse, paramedics dropped him.

3. Yusra Mardini swimming in the 100m Butterfly heat. The teenager is part of the first Olympics refugee team – and just a year ago used her swimming skills when she fled Syria, and the dinghy that she crossed the Aegean Sea upon broke down. “I thought it would be a shame if I drowned in the water, because I am a swimmer,” she told reporters in Rio.
