Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Took Archie For Dinner At The Pub

A low-key dinner date for three

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might’ve been jetting off to Europe on controversial private jet trips, but when they’re back in the UK, the royals aren’t above a Sunday roast at the local pub. Over the weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted at The Rose and Crown in Berkshire’s Winkfield village, an hour’s drive from London, with baby Archie Harrison.

A couple, who were also eating at the pub, spotted the family outing with the man telling The Sun “they were on a table with, I presume, a private secretary. Meghan was cradling Archie most of the time.”

The eyewitness went on to say that Archie was incredibly well behaved. “The little lad was as good as gold, I didn’t hear him cry once while he was there. No other customers recognised them. The staff clearly knew who they were but kept the service low-key.” They also noted that Harry had a couple of beers with his meal, while Meghan stuck to water.

The pair’s outing comes amid drama over them catching private jets and reports that Meghan is struggling with not being able to publicly respond to the backlash. An insider told Us Weekly that the Duchess of Sussex “feels that there is a standard set very high by [Kate Middleton]. It’s discouraging that the British public holds her up to that.”

They continued, “Meghan has this sense of isolation being in the U.K., subject to cruel British media. Her hands are tied and she isn’t allowed to defend herself. It has been very difficult.”
