However, while many highly praised films—hello, The Lost Daughter—did receive the recognition it deserved, it was hard to forget the notable work that were snubbed. When the nominations were released, all eyes peeled the names to see House Of Gucci, but alas, the only nod it's receiving is a nomination for Best Makeup and Hairstyling.
Despite Lady Gaga and Adam Driver's fantastic performance or the film's adapted screenplay from real life events, it apparently wasn't enough to score a nod from the Academy.
As for when we'll find out the winners, the 94th Academy Awards are set to air on Monday, March 28 from 11am AEST.
