4-Year-Old Boy Miraculously Saves His Mum’s Life Using Siri

"She's not waking up."

A four-year-old boy was able to save his mum through his quick thinking, calling the ambulance by using Siri.

Metropolitan Police in the UK have shared his story to raise awareness of the importance of teaching kids about how to contact emergency services.

The Sun reports that little Roman sprung into action when he saw that his mum was collapsed on the floor.

He used her thumb to unlock her iPhone and used Siri to ring emergency services.

He began the 999 phone call with “Hello, I’m Roman.”

The operator asked him put his mother on the phone, to which Roman replied, “We can’t, she’s dead.”

“She’s closing her eyes and she’s not breathing,” he said.

“She’s not waking up.”

He also managed to stay calm and tell emergency services his address, which allowed the ambulance to arrive quickly and take her hospital.

Though she was still unconscious when they arrived at the hospital, she was treated and released soon after.

Chief Superintendent Ade Adelekan said, “Hearing this call brings home the importance of teaching your young child their home address and how to call police or emergency services in an emergency situation.

“If you do nothing else today, then I’d implore any parents of young children to sit down with them and make sure they know what to do in this kind of situation and that they know how to contact police or other emergency services in an emergency.

“As this case demonstrates so poignantly, it could really be the difference between life and death.

“It’s an amazing story and thanks to his quick thinking and by asking ‘Siri’ for help, this little boy saved his mum’s life and it means she is still here and can be extremely proud of him and his brothers.”
