You can hire a professional bridesmaid to stand by your side for £100 (Approximately $180) an hour – or perhaps if you’re not getting married you could be the bridesmaid, make a little extra cash on the side…
According to the site however, it’s not just for those who don’t have friends and family available to help out but also for brides who want to make sure their special day goes off without a hitch.
Duties can include (but aren’t limited to) running errands, managing timings and organising hen and stag parties – but basically it’s anything you would typically ask your bridal party to do.
"We know professional bridesmaids and groomsmen are already popular with couples in the States for a variety of reasons,” Kai Feller, co-founder of Bark.com told Harper’s Bazaar UK. “Once we realised the potential value of the industry in the UK, it seemed like a no-brainer to officially launch it as a service"
"We already help couples find the best local suppliers for their wedding, including caterers, makeup artists, photographers and DJs. As a professional member of a wedding party, our pros can earn up to £800 based on an eight-hour work day. We’re certain overwhelmed brides and grooms will benefit from having a service like this to alleviate some of the stress that comes with planning a wedding."
