The award-winning singer famously split from husband Simon Konecki after seven years together in April and according to multiple reports, wanted to up her fitness game for their seven-year-old son Angelo.
"For her, it's not about losing weight," a source revealed. "She wants to stay healthy for her son’s sake, and though it’s been challenging for her to keep a new workout routine, she is sticking with it."
Though the award-winning singer has made no secret of her dislike of working out (she once famously said that she doesn't exactly "f***ing skip to the gym", prompting fans to ponder how she's achieved results.
Below, we take a look at how the British darling has switched up her lifestyle.
1. She's hired a personal trainer
Since splitting from her husband, the songstress has reportedly become "incredibly dedicated" to regular sessions with a personal trainer three times a week.
"After Adele started working out, she never looked back," a source told People. "She was instantly a changed person with a different mindset."
But it wasn't easy at first, as the singer had to work hard at keeping up the new lifestyle.
"At first, she was very hesitant about keeping a workout routine," the insider continued. "It was like she was questioning if she was going to enjoy it enough to stick with it. But she has been incredibly dedicated. She continues to work out with a trainer and she looks fantastic."
2. A famous follower of the Sirtfood diet
The singer is reportedly a follower of the Sirtfood diet which is designed to activate sirtuins - cells in the body which are believed to regulate inflammation.
According to the BBC, researchers also credit sirtuins for influencing the body's ability to burn fat and boost metabolism - a combination designed to garner weight loss results.
The diet is split into two phases. To kickstart the plan, followers are advised to restrict calories to 1,000kcal for three days by consuming three Sirtfood-approved green juices and one meal a day. From days four to seven, daily calorie intake is increased to 1,500kcal with two green juices and two meals now on the plan.
The second phase lasts two weeks and is designed to enable people to lose weight in a sustainable and manageable way. Food and drinks included in the meal plans include the likes of green tea, kale, citrus fruits, turmeric and blueberries.

3. A firm fan of reformer pilates
According to US Weekly, her new workout regime includes 60-minute sessions of cardio, circuit training and reformer pilates.
A weight loss tactic famously adopted by the A-list set with fans including the Duchess of Sussex, Gwyneth Paltrow and Margot Robbie, Adele reportedly attends reformer pilates classes with actress Ayda Field.
A more technical variation of original mat work, the exercise routine involves the use of ropes, springs and a carriage. Designed to provide a full body workout, the routine enables practicers to work everything from their core and posture to muscle tone.
