It sounds almost too good to be true, and this latest special buy wine has people in a stir. Whether you are inclined towards a red or a white, they have you covered, with both a Shiraz Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc on offer, and if you’ve had your eye on Aldi deals for long enough, you may even be able to store them in your wine fridge.

With six bottles in a case, they work out to just over $2 a pop. At such an incredulous price, many speculated as to whether or not the wine is actually palatable, but a quick search of popular wine ranking site Vivino shows a 2.9 average star rating, not exactly top shelf, but as one Vivino user puts it “not a bad drop for the price”.
