As the girl who practically pioneered the return of collarbone-grazing hair cuts, Alexa Chung can be relied upon to show us new ways to wear the short style.
Exhibit A: London Fashion Week. At the J.W. Anderson show, Alexa’s hair was all wispy waves at the front:
And beautiful braid at the back:
Alexa sought out friend and London hairstylist George Northwood for the front-row-ready style, which she wore with a longline black blazer, white dress and basket bag.
Leaving her layers loose around her face softens the hairstyle and imbues it with the kind of couldn’t-care-less vibes the front row are all about (Disclaimer: said vibes are easier to achieve if you have a professional doing the braiding for you).
