“When I first got pregnant, I started to eliminate dairy from my diet and drank a lot more water, which made a huge difference to my skin,” she told Elle UK. Prior to that, Keys was plagued with problem skin: “I know how it feels to have a face full of bumps and pimples,” she says. “I lived through that in the public eye.”
Keys isn’t the first to attribute her skin woes to dairy, although the science remains inconclusive. But if recent photos are anything to go by, it’s definitely worked for her.
“Some have called this a crusade… I died laughing at that. I use to feel the pressure to appear as the music industry expected, but I don’t now,” Keys says.
