While Beyoncé and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s pregnancies caused fans some excitement, it appears Hollywood can add another special arrival to the list after news broke of Amal Clooney’s pregnancy.
On February 9, The Talk host Julie Chen said she confirmed with Clooney’s husband, George, 55, in late January that he and Amal, 39, are expecting two bundles of joy, which are set to arrive June.
“Beyoncé is not the only superstar expecting twins,” Chen, 47, said on the daytime program. “Congratulations are in order for George and Amal Clooney!”
People have also confirmed the news, with multiple sources saying the couple are “very happy”.
Amal “has let everyone in both families know quietly,” says a source close to the couple. “They’re all very happy.”
The mother-to-be, a valued human-rights lawyer, and the Hollywood icon married in a star-studded wedding in Venice, Italy back in 2014. The pair first met through a mutual friend at a charity fundraiser in September 2013.
“Between all their important work, they always stay focused on keeping their marriage happy and healthy,” a source told People last year. “They are very keen on not spending too much time apart.”
