It’s been a while since we last saw Amal Clooney—two years in fact. That’s why when she returned to the red carpet this week, you could bet we were all eyes (and ears) on the stunning human rights lawyer.
And she wasn’t alone. On Sunday, Amal and her husband George Clooney attended the premiere of the iconic Hollywood actor’s latest directorial film project, The Tender Bar.
For the occasion, Amal looked flawless in a black and sliver gown which featured cut-outs at the waist—well in line with the trend that’s sweeping the globe for summer.
The striking pair were last seen on a red carpet together back in 2019. Of course, the global pandemic had a part to play in the lack of pre-event glamour splashed across the world.
That said, we’ve no doubt the couple have enjoyed spending some extra time laying low with their four-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella.
Speaking about them to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, George mused that his children hadn’t missed out on much despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I didn’t have to teach them trigonometry at home,” he quipped before Amal added that George has instead been teaching them pranks.
“I think those can really pay off over time,” he responded.
George’s film, The Tender Bar, has a star-studded cast including Ben Affleck, Christopher Lloyd and Lily Rabe.
It follows the tale of a young boy who goes to a bar in order to find a replacement for his late father. The narrative is based on a book of the same name by J.R. Moehringer.
It will be released to theatres in December 2021.
