The world is in raptures over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming wedding, with one exception: Amy Schumer. The I Feel Pretty star had a refreshingly honest view on the royal wedding this morning, telling radio hosts Fitzy and Wippa she can’t think of anything worse.
“This poor girl,” Schumer begins. “This wedding, everyone says it’s your day. It’s your day. She’s like, no it’s not!”
“She has to meet all these foreign dignitaries she’s never met before, there’s so much pressure… can you imagine having a worse wedding? That would suck.”
She adds: “Her girls from high school aren’t going to be there. All my friends were high and drunk at my wedding… everyone is!”
“It’s like a parade, it’s like a Westminster dog show. It’s all pomp.”
Schumer recently got married herself, to chef Chris Fischer, in a low-key Malibu wedding at a rented house. Adele officiated the ceremony, and celebrity friends Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston and Judd Apatow were in attendance.
