A judge in the couple’s ongoing divorce case said that the children, Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 9-year old twins Vivienne and Knox, “not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them,” adding that “it is critical that each of them have a healthy and strong relationship with their father and mother,” according to court documents obtained by The Blast.
“If the minor children remain closed down to their father and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with [Jolie] and may result in the Court ordering primary physical custody to [Pitt].”
Reps for both Angle and Brad are yet to comment on the report.
The couple filed for divorce in September 2016 in one of the most shocking splits in Hollywood history.
The judge also outlined specific steps that Ange must take to repair the relationship with and access to their father, including providing the children’s mobile phone numbers and allowing access to them at any time – without monitoring calls or texts.
US Weekly reports that Brad and Angle were ordered to arrange a phone call between them, their children and two psychologists to establish a “summer schedule” while Ange is based in London filming Maleficent 2.
The schedule reportedly outlines how many hours Brad must spend with the children per week alongside a child therapist however the schedule excludes eldest son Maddox who the court reportedly deemed old enough to establish the relationship himself.
The children will then spend a week with their father in LA in which time Ange is only permitted one phone call per day.
“This [divorce] has been a longstanding back-and-forth, and hopefully now there will be greater collaboration for the benefit of the kids,” a source tells US Weekly.
“The kids have always been a priority for both parents and hopefully everyone will comply with the court order going forward. Brad will be wherever he needs to be for the kids.”
