Out of all the titles Angelina Jolie holds – actress, director, mother, philanthropist – her role as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Special Envoy is one of the most special.
Speaking at a World Refugee Day gathering in Nairobi, Kenya, Ms. Jolie addressed and met around 200 refugee girls.
These girls are either unaccompanied, or separated from their parents, now living in the Heshima Kenya Safe House and participating in a Girls’ empowerment Project.
Jolie addressing the crowd saying: “Over half of all refugees and displaced people worldwide are women and children. How we treat them is a measure of our humanity as nations,” UNHCR reports.
It was Angelina's third visit to Kenya, in which she wore a sand-coloured Sand coloured Saint Laurent suit ensemble.
The box jacket and tab-front trousers were worn over an Everlane linen scoop-neck tee, which retails for $46 Australian dollars.
