Why Anna Heinrich Won’t Stop Wearing This Red Lipstick

Reese Witherspoon loves it too

There’s no beauty statement more powerful than a fiery red lip – what other make-up gives the wearer the same instant confidence boost?

It’s a trick lawyer-turned-Bachelor-star and red carpet regular Anna Heinrich knows all too well. “The colour red has long been a symbol of power and femininity,” she says.

Heinrich is the perfect ambassador for Elizabeth Arden’s March On campaign, launching in line with International Women’s Day. Along with global campaign face Reese Witherspoon, Heinrich is one of 20 local ambassadors championing women’s rights with a simple swipe of red lipstick.

How? All proceeds from the limited edition March On Beautiful Colour Lipstick in Red Door Red will be donated to UN Women. Chosen by Reese Witherspoon (the red case is signed by her), the lipstick is an ode to Elizabeth Arden’s feminist roots: the brand’s founder, the Elizabeth Arden, famously provided red lipstick to the suffragettes marching down Fifth Avenue in 1912.

“I love the colour that Elizabeth Arden chose for this campaign,” says Heinrich. “I’m so happy to support an initiative that empowers women and the sisterhood.”

She’s joined by marie claire editor Nicky Briger, along with Natalie Barr, Kylie Gillies, Julie Snook and Laura Dondovic, among others, as local ambassadors for the campaign.
