Hathaway announced that she was expecting a second child via Instagram in late July with a selfie showcasing her blossoming bump.
As her due date approached, the actress skipped the premiere of her latest silver screen project Dark Waters on November 13.
Teasing that she had family commitments at home, she shared photographs from the evening on Instagram alongside the telling caption: "It's for a great reason, but I was so sad not to get out to support @DarkWatersMovie with my buddies!"
Hathaway and Shulman said "I do" in an intimate Californian ceremony in September 2012 with the A-list bride wearing Valentino.
Speaking about their first meeting in an interview with Harper's Bazaar UK in 2014, Hathaway revealed that she told her friend at the time: "I'm going to marry that man."
"I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life."
The couple welcomed their first child, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, in 2016.
