After failing to find love on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, the 25-year-old fan favourite has been tipped as Australia's 2019 Bachelor, according to an ‘insider’.
After the absolute dramedy that was Nick Cummins' season, it seems the producers over at Channel 10 are after a “safe bet” – in other words – a bachelor that will actually choose one of the lovely ladies and hopefully restore everyone’s faith in true love.
This insider told New Idea, “Producers took a risk with Nick and that’s backfired dramatically. Apollo is a tried and tested talent and they feel like he is a safe bet for ratings.”
There’s been some talk that the shock ending of last season’s The Bachelor and Nick's unwillingness to comply with producers, meant that the ratings for Ali’s season of The Bachelorette suffered. Choosing a man like Apollo, who has been through the Bachie process a few times now, would almost certainly mean there'd be no surprises in store for Channel 10 or the audience.
Considering everyone loves Apollo Jackson we can’t help but be a little stoked at the news that he may be the next Bachelor.
