Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter, Apple, Roasts Her Mother’s Goop-Loving Morning Routine And It’s Hilarious

Like mother, like daughter.

Teaming up with Gwyneth Paltrow for the launch of GoopGlow, Apple Martin still acts like every other teenager, including ruthlessly roasting her mother where she sees fit.

Paltrow, and her ex-husband Chris Martin’s, 16-year-old daughter Apple recently hopped on the Goop TikTok account to break down her mother’s morning routine, and oh boy, did she not hold back.

On April 4, the Oscar-winning actress took to Instagram to share a lovely selfie with her lookalike daughter. “Exciting new product launch today featuring one of the absolute loves of my life,” Paltrow wrote in the caption.

But over on TikTok, Martin took a different approach to her gesture of love by jokingly narrating her mother’s morning routine and highlighting her new GoopGlow Morning Skin Superpowder, which the Goop website describes as a “power shot” of antioxidants meant to reduce the effects that sun and stress have on your skin.

“So first, my [mother] drinks her GoopGlow Superpowder—and she eats nothing except for dates and almond butter, so she will have that,” Martin shared as Paltrow mixed in the powder with a glass of water. “I suppose the GoopGlow is a part of her cleanse, which she’s been on since the day I was born, apparently.”

In the video, which is captioned, “When you get roasted by your gen z daughter,” Martin continued to chronicle Paltrow’s schedule, poking more and more fun at her mother as time went on.

“It’s 8 a.m., and she’s been doing this since 7 a.m.,” Martin said over Gwyneth’s skin-care routine. “She just prances around the bathroom putting on her millions of GoopGlow products for her glowing skin. Then she gets to work making some more vagina eggs and candles… and vagina perfumes… and just everything vagina. Yeah, that’s my mother’s morning routine!”

While Paltrow is clearly in on the jokes about her brand—and happy to let her daughter roast her—there actually is a serious reason behind the plethora of vagina-scented products

“It’s all part of the crumbling patriarchy. You have to push, you have to go too far. You have to have a ‘WAP’ song or a Smells Like My Vagina candle,” Paltrow told ELLE U.S. in September 2020.

“So people are like, ‘What is this?’ And they freak out. And then the centre moves a little bit more this way. It’s a process that happens over time. But women, especially my generation, and my mother’s generation, we were raised to feel so uncomfortable with ourselves and it’s bullshit. It’s not cool. We have to be integrated and love ourselves, love every part and integrate all of the parts of ourselves.”

And clearly, she’s successfully passed that knowledge and confidence on to her daughter—be sure to check out Apple’s roast of her mother below:
