Australian Swimwear Label Aqua Blu Just Debuted Its New Collection At Miami Swim Week

Is it summer yet?

Just when you thought avoiding your Instagram feeds was enough to make you forget about summer in the northern hemisphere, Miami Swim Week kicked off.

And despite bikini season currently feeling forever away, we’re of the opinion it can’t hurt to do a bit of mental shopping ahead of time – especially when Australian swimwear label, Aqua Blu, takes to the runway.

The brand’s inaugural Miami Swim Week show took place over the weekend at the stunning Setai Hotel. Ever-proud of its beginnings Down Under, a slew of Aussie models filled the runway, showing off vibrant new season swim and resort designs.

Of the new collection, creative director Kristian Chase says, “I believe in people should always feel confident in themselves and what they wear. ‘Euphoria’ embodies that.”

Revealing he has a “soft spot” for two pieces in the new collection – the Euphoria one piece and cocktail dress, both from the instinct collection – Chase says his design philosophy has “always been about exuding effortless glamour.”

“It’s about chic details, bold prints and lush fabrics” because “life is too short to spend it in nude-hued swimwear.”

Hear, hear!
