British Man Arthur Collins Sentenced Over Nightclub Acid Attack

He got 20 years for the crime

A British judge slammed disgraced man Arthur Collins during court and referred to him as a “despicable liar” before he was given a 20-year sentence over the April 17 acid attack that scarred members of the public for life.

The 25-year-old, who is the former partner of The Only Way Is Essex star Ferne McCann, claimed the attack was a “stupid little mistake” as his lawyer said he “feels as if the entire world has turned against him”.

According to The Sun, during the hearing, Collins winked at his family who called back “love you Arthur” while he was transferred from the dock at Wood Green Crown Court to begin his jail time.

While Collins was given two-decades behind the bars, the court confirmed he’d also receive an extended five years on licence. The Judge who made the final decision – Noel Lucas QC – said Collins was “an accomplished and calculating liar” who has not “demonstrated the slightest remorse”.

The judge also noted that the guilty man had purposely taken strong acid to the nightclub “to use when the need arised”.

“The conclusion I have come to is that you deliberately carried strong acid into that club to use when the need arised. The CCTV showed the wholly cowardly nature of the attack,” said Judge Lucas.
