Lara Worthington’s signature blonde beach waves and perfect, perennial sun-kissed glow are just a couple of the reasons we can’t get enough of the home-grown model.
Not only does she juggle running her successful beauty and skin care brand The Base by Lara Bingle, she also has a one-year-old son, Rocket and is expecting her second child. So when the busy mum, currently residing in New York City, spilled her beauty secrets and favourite products in an interview with The Vault Online, we definitely paid attention.
Here are Lara’s best beauty lessons:
#1/ There is always time to exercise
Lara’s exercise of choice is Skype Ballet, a program she was introduced to by fellow Aussie and NYC resident, actress Phoebe Tonkin. “It’s such a great workout and you don’t even have to leave your house,” she says, “Yeah I’m busy, but who isn’t?”
Post workout the model uses Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Wash, and adds Epsom salts “to a really hot bath to relax and soothe my muscles.”
#2/ Don’t forget to hydrate
While she claims “swimming in the sea and drinking water” are the secrets to a clear, radiant complexion, she also turns to a few products, including traditional scrubs and dry brushing everyday to “help shed dead skin cells and stimulate blood circulation.” Her go-to body products are Kiehl’s Crème de Corps and her own The Base by Lara Bingle Body Glow Oil. “It’s super hydrating and smells like coconut, which gives you good holiday vibes,” she says.
#3/ A red lip is always a good idea
No stranger to a red lip, Lara like to pairs the striking look with lightweight concealer RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up for natural coverage, The Base by Lara Bingle Skin Perfecting Illuminator, “to highlight the natural curves of my face and body,” as well as use the shu uemura eyelash curler and a Bobbi Brown blonde eyebrow gel.
