“Simplicity” and “minimalism” were the beauty buzzwords backstage at Prada’s spring 2017 show, which translated into sharp, Louise Brooks-esque bobs and clean ponytails, accessoried with a single bobby pin at the hairline. Turns out the cheap and chic bobby pin is both practical and pretty. Who knew?

We’re guessing you’ve probably got, oh, about a million pins floating around at home, in the bathroom, your top desk drawer, the bottom of your handbag … it’s time to put them to use!

Instead of tucking them in and trying to hide them, bring your pins front and centre and make them a feature of your hairstyle, like these celebrities.
