How to recycle your wedding to make money

Why has no-one thought of this sooner?

Forget refinancing the mortgage and blowing your life savings on your wedding day – one frustrated bride has come up with a nifty way of saving cash – and possibly even making some money as well.

On wedding website Ruffled, you can buy and sell secondhand (i.e. used once) wedding decorations, bonbonniere and even dresses.

As any bride knows, wedding costs add up frighteningly quickly (the chair hire costs how much?!?) so anything that lowers the budget is a major win. And when you’re talking items like glass vases, table numbers and candle votives, why wouldn’t you choose secondhand?

Post wedding, you can return the favour and – here’s where the fun really starts – be rewarded with cold, hard cash in return.
