A Teacher Went On The Run After A 13-Year-Old Got Her Pregnant

The 24-year-old has been charged for continuous sex abuse

A 24-year-old teacher is on the run after she has been accused of getting pregnant from a 13-year-old student.

As the US’ ABC news reports, the woman, Alexandria Vera, was an English teacher at Aldine ISD’s Stovall Middle School in Houston, Texas. She met the 13-year-old boy in her English class over summer school, and a sexual relationship soon developed.

After the boy sent her a message over Instagram, she gave him her number and they met up in private.

But according to court documents, Vera said that this isn’t a solely sexual relationship – the pair are in love, and she has even been introduced to his family as his girlfriend.

Parents and kids at the school have commented that they have ‘chills’ because of the situation, and that people were talking about the situations after instances like him grabbing her butt and flirting in class.

Vera allegedly became pregnant with the boy’s child in January, however has since had an abortion due to being visited by Child Protective Services unexpectedly at her school.

Vera has been charged for continuous sexual abuse of a child and went on the run, but turned herself in the next day.

The school has since released this statement: “Aldine ISD has been made aware that charges have been filed against a former Stovall Middle School teacher involved in inappropriate behavior with a male student. When the allegation was made in April, the teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave. Aldine ISD Police investigated the incident and turned their findings over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. The safety and security of Aldine ISD’s students and staff remains a priority of the school district.”
