Ariana Grande Confirms Manchester Benefit Concert Is Happening This Sunday

Ariana Grande has confirmed her benefit concert to raise money for the families and victims of the Manchester Arena terror attack is happening this weekend. 

Less than two weeks after the bombing, the star is flying back to the U.K. and is bringing along a huge lineup of famous musicians.

Performing alongside the singer is Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell, Usher, Take That and Niall Horan, with more big names reportedly to be added soon.

Free tickets will be offered to anyone who was at Ariana’s Manchester Arena show on May 22nd, with all proceeds made from other ticket sales going straight to victims and families of the 22 people who lost their lives and 59 who were injured. 

A Just Giving crowdfunding page which was set up for the same purpose has almost reached its £2 million goal, with celebrities like Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake and Eminem pledging their support and encouraging their fans to donate.

Over the weekend, Ariana sent out a heartfelt message, announcing that the benefit concert was in the works and sending her love to all of her fans. 

The post read, “I am sorry for the pain and fear that you must be feeling and for the trauma that you, too, must be experiencing.”

“We will never be able to understand why events like this take place because it is not in our nature, which is why we shouldn’t recoil. We will not quit or operate in fear.”

“We won’t let this divide us. We won’t let hate win.”
