Beyoncé Speaks Out For The First Time Since Welcoming Twins

Well, kinda...

Queen Bey has had a busy few weeks, even by her standards.

A few weeks ago, the singer blessed the world by giving birth to her twins (names and genders yet to be revealed).

Then, over the weekend, she made her presence known at the BET Awards.

The new mum won the Viewer’s Choice Award for her video ‘Sorry.’ And because she’s a lil too busy bonding with the luckiest babies in the world, her proteges and singing duo, Chloe and Halle, accepted the award on her behalf.

And because Beyoncé never does anything half-assed, her message was of powerful and moving.

She wrote, “Thank you BET for this award and your tremendous support of Lemonade. This has been a journey of love, of celebrating our culture, honoring the past, and approaching the present and future with hope and resolve.”

This is Beyoncé first statement since welcoming two additions to her family last week.

She continued: “Thank you to my mother Tina Knowles-Lawson for being my biggest, biggest teacher, and consistent influence. Thank you to my entire family for so much love.”

“And thanks to all the fans, my Beyhive, for riding with me. I love and appreciate you. And to everyone at the show tonight, you all look so beautiful. And at home, thank you, and have a wonderful, wonderful night. From, Beyoncé.”

Congrats Bey, we are not worthy.
