It’s official! Beyoncé has given birth to her twins!
After a week filled with speculation, a source has confirmed the happy news to People saying, “Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends.”
The singer’s father, Matthew Knowles, also confirmed the arrival, posting “Happy birthday to the twins! Love, Grandad”
While the newborn’s genders are yet to be revealed, people are speculating that the Carter’s have welcomed a baby boy and a baby girl, after a woman was spotted heading into the hospital with pink and blue balloons and a card with ‘B & J’ written on it.
The world spun into a frenzy last week, with reports the singer had gone into labour in an L.A. hospital.
The Daily Mail reported that Bey’s security staff were seen transporting two baby seats on Thursday morning, NY Daily News quoted sources who heard DJ Khaled telling people his friends had welcomed their twins, and, to add fuel to the already burning fire, celebrity hairstylist Chuck Amos posted an Instagram photo with Beyoncé reading, “Hang in there, Mama.”
Of course, Twitter swiftly went into meltdown mode with fans awaiting an official confirmation from the famous duo.
The singer first announced her pregnancy in February with a record-breaking Instagram post, captioned: “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters.”
The couple, who married in 2008, already have one daughter: five-year-old Blue Ivy Carter.
Let’s be real here: In the time it took to write this post, Beyonce’s probably already taken the twins home, finished another album, made each accompanying video clip and done a photoshoot with her new babies.
