Blake Lively fans will be happy to know the star plans to star and also executive produce The Husband’s Secret, an upcoming film based on best-selling book by Liane Moriarty, the author of Big Little Lies.
Much like the hit series that Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman star in, the film is a murder mystery which will keep viewers guessing.
Lively will play the role of Cecilia Fitzpatrick, a busy wife and mother who discovers a dark secret her husband has kept, which leaves her to believe their life together has been built on a foundation of lies and murder.
CBS Films president Terry Press told Hollywood Reporter that “Liane Moriarty has established herself as one of the defining voices of the modern woman, and Blake Lively’s unique combination of vulnerability, strength and extraordinary talent makes her the perfect actress to realise Moriarty’s creation.”
Lively’s was last seen acting in The Shallows and Cafe Society.
