Over the past week, fans have been speculating that Gigi Hadid and boyfriend Zayn Malik are expecting their first child.
The rumours started when a comment, made out to have been by Gigi’s mum Yolanda, said: “I will be a proud grandma in eight months…. Life is a blessing.”
However, the mother of Hollywood It children Gigi, Bella and Anwar, took to Twitter overnight to clear things up, saying that no, 22-year-old Gigi is definitely not pregnant.
“No of course not, if my daughter was pregnant she would be the one to announce it not me,” Yolanda wrote, responding to a fan asking whether there were any truth to the rumours.
Gigi and Zayn started dating in 2016, not long after the former One Direction member’s split from fiance and Little Mix singer, Perrie Edwards.
Though they stay relatively quiet about their relationship, it’s clear this genetically blessed pair are head over heels in love.
In February, Gigi opened up about first meeting Zayn while a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“We actually met at a friend’s birthday party a few years ago, and then he was in New York to come to the Victoria’s Secret show and ended up not coming,” she told the talk show host.
“I was like, ‘I’ll play it cool. I’ll go to the afterparty.’ He wasn’t there,” she continued.
“About a week later, however, they went on their first date and she said, “We played it cool for about 10 minutes, and then I was like, ‘You’re really cute.’ We connected really quickly.”
