Victoria’s Secret Model Irina Shayk Just Shared Her First Post-Baby Photo And The Internet Is Divided

She gave birth less than a month ago.

Irina Shayk and Bradly Cooper welcomed their first child, a daughter named Lea de Seine, less than a month ago, but this Victoria’s Secret model is wasting no time sharing photos of her post-baby body.

In the picture, Shayk is seen relaxing on a pool float, with the caption ‘#currentsituation’ – you know, just to make it very clear that the photo is not a throwback – AKA this is seriously how she looks mere weeks after popping out a child.

Being a Victoria’s Secret model, who clearly works incredibly hard to stay in shape (and was obviously was blessed with ridiculously good genes), it’s highly likely Shayk’s bod really has already gone back to its slim shape.

After all, she did walk the Victoria’s Secret runway in her second trimester, without anyone noticing her bump at all until days later when her pregnancy was revealed.

However, the comments section of her new postpartum pic shows that her fans are pretty divided over the post.

Some are praising the 31-year-old for her fit physique, saying she obviously worked hard to stay in shape throughout her pregnancy.

Others are shaming her for promoting unachievable and unrealistic body expectations so soon after giving birth.

While it’s easy to look at Shayk’s body and either judge her for not posting a photo of her newborn, or criticise her about how fast she dropped weight, Chrissy Teigen put it perfectly last year when she got real about pregnancy in Hollywood.

Anyone in the public eye, we have all the help we could ever need to be able to shed everything,” she said to TODAY.

“So I think people get this jaded sensation that everybody’s losing it so quickly, but we just happen to be the ones who are out there. We have nutritionists, we have dietitians, we have trainers, we have our own schedules, we have nannies. We have people who make it possible for us to get back into shape. But nobody should feel like that’s normal, or like that’s realistic.”

I sure think that if I had the above help, plus those handy supermodel genes, I’d be pretty quick to post a bikini snap, too.
