Kim Kardashian is facing backlash from fans after dressing her four-year-old daughter in a corset.
North West wore Yeezy sneakers, a cap, and an orange dress with a corset-like design on the front, which on an adult is used to tighten and clench in a women’s waist.
Though there’s no doubt, North looks super cute, many fans take issue with the fact that corsets are designed to sexualize the female body.
People quickly wrote on photos of the young child: “What is the corset for?” and, “The real question is why is that child wearing a corset who is she trying to be sexy for smh. her mom is a wreck sometimes. [SIC]”
Kim Kardashian quickly took to Twitter to defend her outfit choice for North.
“This dress is not a corset. I think it’s really cute, I bought it from a designer and it’s just fabric people, it’s not a real corset.”
She also tweeted: “I would never put my daughter in a corset! Relax it’s a dress I bought that is fabric that laces up and looks like a corset!”
This is the second time Kim has had to defend herself this week after fans spotted what they thought were lines of cocaine in the back of her Snapchat selfie.
