Summer is fast approaching and with it comes lazy afternoons filled with rosé, rosé and more rosé.

But for those who are getting a bit over the sweet taste of wine, boy, have we got good news for you.

Wölffer Estate Vineyard has just created what we’re dubbing the most Instagrammable drink of 2017, with their new pink gin.

That’s right, pink. gin.

And the taste of this new drop? “Using the rosé wine as the base gives Wölffer a clear advantage over grain-based gins. The aroma is much more playful and fruit-driven,” the company’s famous rosé, winemaker Roman Roth explained in a press release.

The main flavour of the gin comes juniper berries that are handpicked at the estate between April and July each year with notes of anise, fennel, coriander, cumin, cardamom, plus a bit of fresh mint from their garden.

After distilling the gin in a copper pot still, Roth adds a tiny amount of red grape skin extract to get the signature light pink colour.

We’ll cheers to that!
