Roxy Jacenko’s Husband Oliver Curtis Granted Day Release From Prison

The banker is working as a maintenance man

Roxy Jacenko’s husband Oliver Curtis has been granted day release to tend to maintenance work as a reward for his good behaviour.

Curtis, who is currently serving a one-year jail sentence at Cooma Correctional Centre for insider trading, has been working as a maintenance man in an area known as “the farm”, according The Daily Telegraph.

Prison insiders told the publication Curtis was a “hard and meticulous worker”, prompting the decision to allow him to work outside the jail in an area known by inmates as “the farm”, where he can spend up to six hours a day outside.

Curtis, who was jailed over a $1.4 million insider trading scam, is now reportedly earning $23 a week through his work mowing lawns and picking up rubbish, reports The Australian.

While Curtis spends time in prison, Jacenko has been caring for the couple’s two children, Pixie, five, and Hunter, two.

Jacenko says that 2016 has shown her “that you can conquer anything” and despite her struggles, “they are very small in comparison to others. I’m lucky. I have an amazing support network, my mum is brilliant, my children are a joy to be around and my business is thriving. So I got cancer, and so my husband went to jail, but that’s life.”
