According to PEOPLE, 22-year-old Savanna Lafontaine-Greywind vanished after last being seen in her apartment in North Fargo on Saturday afternoon, August 19.

The two-day-old baby was found in the same apartment building where Savanna lives when officers carried out a search warrant.

Chief Dave Todd said police were unable to determine who the babyโ€™s mother was, or any details about two people being questioned, CBS News reports.

โ€œAt this point in time, we are not able to confirm if the newborn is Savanna Greywindโ€™s child or not,โ€ he said in an update on Facebook.

โ€œWe do not have information that tells us where Savanna Greywind is,โ€ Todd added.

Savannaโ€™s mother, Norberta LaFontaine-Greywind, told Forum News Service that a woman living in their apartment building had allegedly knocked on their door and asked if Savanna would help model a dress she was sewing.

Savanna reportedly left the apartment but didnโ€™t return.

โ€œI immediately knew something was wrong because [my daughterโ€™s] car is here,โ€ Norberta explained. โ€œSheโ€™s eight months pregnant. Her feet were swollen so she wouldnโ€™t have taken up walking like that. There was pizza here that she hadnโ€™t eaten. She would not just leave that ladyโ€™s apartment and go somewhere.โ€
