Audio Recordings Reveal Horrors Of Night Woman Murdered By Stepfather

Warning: distressing content

In February 2014, mother Marlene Locke watched helplessly as her husband, Raymond Mead, grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her stepdaughter in front of her. Twenty-three year old Sherelle tragically died as a result of her horrific wound.

As the ABC reports, Mr Mead then warned Marlene that she would be next.

The man was found guilty of murdering his stepdaughter and was sentenced to life in jail.

Now, audio recordings and police interviews broadcast by A Current Affair have provided a dark insight into the fateful night.

In an emergency service call, Marlene is heard saying in extreme distress: “My husband… My husband stabbed my daughter.”

Footage of Mr Mead being interviewed by police shows him lying about the turn of events.

“I’ve never touched Sherelle or her in the eight years we been together. I’ve not put one finger on her at all,” he declares.

He then goes on to allege that the mother and daughter had “pulled knives on each other” hundreds of time times.

“It’s just ridiculous,’ he says. ‘I just can’t believe what she’s done.”

Speaking to A Current Affair, Marlene said she was haunted by the tragic incident.

“I was there, I saw what happened and I have to live with that for the rest of my life and he just denies it,” she explained.
