Woman Calls Police While Serial Killer Kidnapper Slept

‘I’ve been abducted…Please hurry’

A brave woman has managed to escape her kidnapper after she called police while he slept just meters away.

While Shawn Grate, 40, slept, the woman managed to free herself from where she was tied up and called police, begging them for help and directing them to their location.

“I’ve been abducted,” the woman whispered in audio from the call, released by authorities.

“Please hurry… He’s got a taser,” she added.

When asked if she was able to leave the house, said, “I don’t know without waking him and I’m scared.”

Police arrived a short time later, and what they found was truly shocking.

It turns out her captor was a serial killer, with police finding two other bodies inside the house and reports of a third body also a short distance away.

The woman was miraculously unharmed, but police fear she might not have been so lucky had she not managed to call 911.

Police have identified one of the bodies as 43-year-old Stacey Stanley, of Greenwich, Ohio, who had been reported missing on September 8.

Grate has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of kidnapping and is facing life in prison.
